May 26, 2017 - Podium Finish in Crate Outlaw Showdown at the Dirt Track at Charlotte
Returning behind the wheel of the Jeremy and Tina Bullins-owned #22 Joe’s Racing Products/ Rocket XR1 Crate Late Model, Chris Ferguson was one of 37 cars signed in at the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, North Carolina) on Thursday night for the Crate Outlaw Showdown. Locking his spot into the Southeastern Crate Association (SECA) sanctioned feature via qualifying, Ferguson laid down the third fastest time in his qualifying group securing him into the $2,000-to-win A-Main. May 19, 2017 - Rough Start Ends Ferguson's Night Early at Carolina
Chris Ferguson was one of 24 Super Late Models signed in at Carolina Speedway (Gastonia, North Carolina) on Friday night for the event co-sanctioned by the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series and the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series. After failing to record a time in qualifying, Ferguson logged a 7th place outing in his heat race earning him the 23rd-starting spot for the $4,000-to-win A-Main. Getting caught behind a wreck within the first five laps of the feature, Chris was an early departure from the 40-lapper after his car sustained too much damage to continue.

May 13, 2017 - Top 5 Finish in FALS Frenzy at Fairbury Speedway
Making the 11 hour trip north, Chris Ferguson traveled to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) on Thursday night for the inaugural Farmer City 74. With 48 Super Late Models on hand for the two-day event sanctioned by the MARS DIRTcar West Series, Ferguson fell two spots short of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place outing. Slated to start 8th in his B-Main for one more shot at the opening night A-Main, Chris suffered a broken flywheel before lining up for the consolation event ending his night early.

Returning on Friday for the $20,000-to-win finale, Ferguson recorded the twelfth fastest time in his qualifying group earning him the 4th-starting position for his heat race. Taking the Top 3, Chris slipped back to a 6th place finish transferring him into the C-Main. Charging to a C-Main win, Ferguson went on to place 13th in his B-Main after starting on the tail of the field. On Saturday Chris headed to Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) for the annual FALS Frenzy. In a stout field of 54 cars, Ferguson started the night off with a heat race victory from the 2nd-starting position. Earning the pole position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main after the redraw, Chris slipped outside of the Top 10 early but worked his way back into the Top 5 late in the race. May 5, 2017 - Mechanical Woes Ends Ferguson's Night at Cherokee
On Friday night Chris Ferguson was one of 31 Super Late Models signed in at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina) for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned contest. After laying down the second fastest time overall in qualifying behind Brandon Sheppard, Ferguson charged to a heat race win positioning him 6th on the starting grid for the feature after the redraw. Running into mechanical issues on the second lap, Chris was forced to pull off bringing an early end to his weekend.
