Flat tire late in DTWC drops Ferguson to 19th

On Friday afternoon Chris Ferguson made the trek to Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) to compete in the final stop of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). Drawing 63 cars for the 40th annual General Tire Dirt Track World Championship, Chris laid down the eighth fastest time in his qualifying group before picking up a 15-lap heat race win. Earning the third-starting position for Saturday night’s $100,000-to-win Dirt Track World Championship, Ferguson suffered a flat right-rear tire late in the 100-lapper while running in the Top-10 that dropped him back to a 19th place outing.
