Top-5 finish in LOLMDS stop at Port Royal Speedway

Making the seven-hour trek north, Chris Ferguson was one of 42 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on hand at Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, Md.) on Saturday afternoon for the Red Nininger Tribute. Following the third quickest lap in his time trial group, Ferguson secured his spot into the opening night feature with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. On Sunday afternoon at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) for the River Valley 40, Chris posted a runner-up finish in his heat behind Devin Moran, which positioned him seventh on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Breaking into the Top-5, Ferguson marched forward four spots to place fourth, trailing Jonathan Davenport, Shane Clanton, and Brandon Sheppard to the checkers with Stormy Scott coming in fifth.
